(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)
Received my backrest a week ago and just got around to putting it on my new 2018 Indian Chieftain Limited yesterday. It was harder to remove my seat from the bike than mounting the backrest hardware, which, by the way, was so easy! Will be riding tomorrow to try it out. This is my second Grasshopper backrest (had one on my 2005 Honda VTX1300R) and would highly recommend it for a great substitute for the expensive OEM model. AND, I am a woman rider and put this on my bike myself. Easy peasy!!!
My second purchase from Grasshopper. Never been disappointed. My recent purchase was installed on my 2018 Indian Springfield. Excellent quality, very affordable, comfortable and looks great as the Indian OEM backrest priced over $500. Would recommend Grasshopper products to all motorcycle riders.
This thing is great and you can't beat the price. It also looks like factory equipment. You guys should get into more Indian gear!!
