Yamaha 950 V-STAR Backrest Installation Instructions

 

 

1. Remove driver and passenger seat
2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and 
washers from bottom of passenger seat. (Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket!!!) 
3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall 
nuts and washers. 
4. Reinstall seats
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

    Drivers back rest

    The bracket is too large. When I insert the backrest into the bracket it has too much play and is too easy to pull out. I'm working on a plastic insert to snug it up....

    Easy installation and as advertised. The fit didn't seem great, but tightening down the screws pulled the backrest into a pretty good location.

    This backrest was as easy to install as they say it is and is very comfortable - I love it!
