    Excellent Indian Chieftain Product

Posted by Denny Pink on 5th Nov 2015

I recently bought the Grasshopper driver backrest for my 2015 Indian Chieftain. Installation was so easy; remove the seat, flip it over, take off four bolts, attach the heavy duty and well made base, bolts back on, reattach seat, done. I can't believe Indian wants over $500.00 for basically the same thing! The pad material and studs match the Chieftain seat perfectly! The best feature is the backrest positions my 6'0" tall and 32 inch inseam body perfectly on the seat. Ordered on Thursday and at my door Saturday. Lonnie is great to work with.

Perfect Solution for an Inexpensive Backrest

Posted by Enzo on 23rd Jul 2015

Can't see spending 500 plus dollars on the Indian OEM version. This is very well made and is quite comfortable for a sub $100. backrest. I had to squeeze the mounting bracket together a 1/16th" in a bench vise to hold the backrest more firmly.

    Great Value for the money

I had purchased a riders back rest for an Indian Vintage, but sold it with the back rest. Did not want to spent almost $500 for another one.... Along comes Grasshopper.... Woo hoo. not exactly the say material as the Indian one, BUT how can tell and who cares?? Works great..
