2018 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Installation Instructions
1. Remove passenger seat exposing two knurled nuts
2. Remove nuts and place supplied bracket over existing studs
3. Reinstall nuts (you may have to pull up on studs if they slip down)
4. Put passenger seat back on.
5. Install new backrest in the bracket and ride safe!
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Finally a rider backrest that’s made for my Heritage!
Took a little while to get here, shipping’s slow with the pandemic (USPS) thank goodness for their service.... bit it takes less than 5 minutes to install and the endless hours of back support it will bring on my long rides will be worth the wait!

Backrest for 2018 Softail
This is my third backrest from Grasshopper Limited (2005 Electra Glide, 2015 Softail Heritage and 2018 Softail Heritage). The backrest for my 2018 Heritage is made of quality steel with excellent craftsmanship, just as I expected it would be. Installation took about five minutes and there were no fitment problems. The backrest offers great support for my lower back and makes riding with the stock seat much more enjoyable. Don't waste your money on other, cheaper alternative backrests. You get what you pay for and I like the fact that I'm supporting a small American business. I am very satisfied with this product.

Adjustment
This is very nicely made backrest very comfortable but after I altered it to have an adjustment. Not everybody is the same hight and have the same riding position preference I drilled some holes and put some screws in mounting bracket so you have forward and back adjustment
