2018 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Installation Instructions
1. Remove passenger seat exposing two knurled nuts
2. Remove nuts and place supplied bracket over existing studs
3. Reinstall nuts (you may have to pull up on studs if they slip down)
4. Put passenger seat back on.
5. Install new backrest in the bracket and ride safe!
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Heritage Softail Classic Backrest
Found your website about 2 weeks ago and told my friend about it. He bought the backrest for his 2018 Heritage Softail Classic and loves it. I just bought a 2019 Heritage and also bought one. Installation was simple, looks and feels great and just took my first ride with it. Very comfortable, great product, great price.

Backrest for my Softail Deluxe 2014
The backrest is very was to install, took me 5 minutes, everything matched, looks very nice, good quality of the leather and the increase of comfort is just phenomenal. The price is very attractive comparing with other products.

Improves riding comfort
I installed this backrest on my 2018 Heritage and am very pleased. It came quickly and was easy to install, but I recommend watching the video on their website first. Seems like a well made product with no flaws. Cannot comment on how it will hold up over time. My initial impression was that it made me sit up straighter and was an inch or two more forward in the saddle. This took some getting used to. But the lumbar support making me sit straighter has made a noticeable difference in overall fatigue and comfort. I was previously getting some upper back and shoulder discomfort after a half hour - that is gone since installing the grasshopper seat even on a long 200 miler last weekend. I can lean back and put my feet up on the mustache crash bar I had installed. Also, I like riding without the windshield and the back support makes that really comfortable. There is not a lot of room between the backrest and the sissybar/backrest I have, at least not enough for an average adult passenger. You can just take the backrest off but I can feel the receptacle at the belt line, although it is not all that annoying. Nonetheless, I think I will take the receiver off when adjusting the underseat preload the next time I have a passenger. Last caveat, having the back support makes quick accelerations a lot more comfortable, so you might find yourself riding faster than you used to!
