07-UP Harley Davidson Heritage Softail or Fatboy Installation Instructions
1. Remove passenger seat exposing two knurled nuts
2. Remove nuts and place supplied bracket over existing studs
3. Reinstall nuts (you may have to pull up on studs if they slip down)
4. Put passenger seat back on.
5. Install new backrest in the bracket and ride safe!
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Just what I was looking for!
I was looking for a backrest, without having to replace the seats. Wanted something simple and looks good with the bike. This makes the long rides very comfortable. Thought it would push the riding position forward, but this is not the case. Provides excellent back support for the long rides. Very easy to remove for passenger mounting if needed and re-install. The width of the backrest could be a little narrower and/or rounder off at the bottom, interferes with passenger legs.

I really like my new backrest and it installed quicker then I expected. My only concern is for the up post possibly rubbing my passenger seat too much and making a hole.

Installed backrest, then went on a 400 mile ride thru central Texas. All non stop except for gas. No way I could have done this without the backrest . Felt great afterward. Gonna have to add a couple hundred more miles to find the "weak link". Backrest could use more tilt back I think. Might have to bend the bracket. Great product though!!
