07-UP Harley Davidson Heritage Softail or Fatboy Installation Instructions
1. Remove passenger seat exposing two knurled nuts
2. Remove nuts and place supplied bracket over existing studs
3. Reinstall nuts (you may have to pull up on studs if they slip down)
4. Put passenger seat back on.
5. Install new backrest in the bracket and ride safe!
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Does the job
Before buying this backrest I read the reviews. I did have concerns over it being loose, the flexing and pushing the riding position forward. Firstly the service was brilliant very fast shipping to the UK spoiled by customs who held it for 4 days. I did read an advert on eBay which said the product was now stainless steel to make it more rigid and was disappointed to see mine appeared to be to the original spec. HOWEVER. Fitted in 3 minutes, slightly loose so followed the instructions re tape and is now totally secure. It does push the riding position forward but I found the slight flexing no problem and it does exactly what I bought it for- stopping me slouching in the saddle causing backache. Also if you look at the price it's brilliant. I dread to think what Harley Davidson would charge if they made one. Overall a very good product but I may need to alter it's position to put it slightly further back. Thanks Lonnie
