Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe 08-UP Installation Instructions
1. Remove passenger seat exposing drivers seat mounting bolts.
2. Remove bolts and install supplied mounting bracket.
3. Reassemble seats.
5. Slide backrest into receiver and tighten set screw.
6. Ride Safe!!

GREATEST!!!! Really!!!
I've searched for several years for the right solo rider backrest for my stock Deluxe seat. I'm 5'5 and a woman, meaning shorter torso, hence need a lower rest. HD, Kuryakyn and the others just don't work, and HD surprisingly doesn't match the Deluxe seat! So I suddenly found GRASSHOPPER a few days before a several hundred mile ride. The backrest is simple and cute. Installation is this: unscrew seat bolts, put on bracket, rescrew seat bolts. That's it. It sits low, and a little far back, maybe by 1 inch, but my jacket takes up that slack. It's good for lower back support, and I struggle with lower back pain. It moves a teeny little bit, but I think it's supposed to. I'm SO happy and relieved, and it has completely changed my ride. I got to test it last weekend over 600 miles. Also, GRASSHOPPER thoughtfully sent it overnight, even though I paid for 2-day. I look forward to more products. LOVE THIS ITEM!

would like to see the base that attaches to fender a little wider so as to distribute weight better but all in all very satisfied with this product just enough support on longer rides and the price can't be beat like the looks of my deluxe seat and this backrest was a winner keeping this stock look r receiver bracket virtually hidden when backrest removed simple on and off
