Yamaha 1300 V-STAR Backrest Installation Instructions
1. Remove driver and passenger seat
2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and
washers from bottom of passenger seat. (Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket!!!)
3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall
nuts and washers.
4. Reinstall seats
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

VERY HAPPY
Put a piece of gorilla tape on the BACK TOP of the slide in mount and works great. I also marked and wrapped tape Around backrest Slide in mount so it will not press against front of rear seat then leaned on. WORKS GREAT.. Also very fast shipping and lower price when I ordered from Grasshoppers web site.

Great fit
Had agrasshopper on my last bike and loved it, was definitely the first thing I ordered for my new bike when I got it home. Havent ridden it much yet, but felt great the litle bit I have used it so far.

Grasshopper backrest on V Star 1300
I recently bought the Grasshopper backrest, fits perfectly and easy installation. Definitely helps for comfort when riding. If you are considering a backrest for your bike, buy one. You will be satisfied.
