Yamaha 1300 V-STAR Backrest Installation Instructions
1. Remove driver and passenger seat
2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and
washers from bottom of passenger seat. (Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket!!!)
3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall
nuts and washers.
4. Reinstall seats
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

They shipped it quick, it fits like a glove, Only took 15 minutes to install, and is perfect upgrade and very comfortable.

Comfy and quick to install
Really nice backrest. It’s easy to install, easy to put in and take out, and comfy on those long rides. The bracket that installs under the rear seat is completely flat, so use caution when bolting it in so that you don’t break a bolt like I did :-(

Nice and Comfortable
This is a nice product! Installation was easy except until you put the seat back on the bike. When the mount is in place it blocked some of the access to seat mount bolts. Make sure have the right angle on the bolts and use a deep well socket to reinstall the seat. I like the mount and the design of the product. The backrest has soft touch and felt comfortable when I rode the bike. Thinking about getting a 2nd for my other bike! They look nice and I enjoy the comfort of having a backrest on my bike. If you have never use a backrest this is a well made product for a good price. Enjoy!
