Yamaha 1300 V-STAR Backrest Installation Instructions
1. Remove driver and passenger seat
2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and
washers from bottom of passenger seat. (Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket!!!)
3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall
nuts and washers.
4. Reinstall seats
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Fabulous product

Fantastic customer service
I lost my backrest and wanted to buy another one but didn't need the bracket. They took care of me and sent me one. Great product and great people. I will always have a grasshopper backrest on any motorcycle I own.

Great seat fir the pruce
I have been looking at a backrest for some time but could not justify a new seat with backrest due to the cost. In looking around at just backrest I felt the grasshopper seat may fit the bill. It did without question. I sent in an enquiry and had a response back within 1 day. The seat came to Canada within 1 week from USA. Took all of 10 minutes to install. Fits good with some flex and makes me sit up straighter which will be easier on my back. I did put some Duck toe to make the connection tighter and a ziplock to the strap just to keep secure. It looks great and I am very satisfied.
