Yamaha 950 V-STAR Backrest Installation Instructions
1. Remove driver and passenger seat
2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and
washers from bottom of passenger seat. (Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket!!!)
3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall
nuts and washers.
4. Reinstall seats
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

When I bought this it was for 1 main reason, the price. I have to admit after seeing what I received in the mail I did not see a $100 item but much much more. This looks as good or better than the expensive ones on the internet. When I put this on my bike I experienced 2 issues. I sent an email asking their opinion and not only did I get their professinal opinion, I also was informed they would be making me another bracket that would lower the backrest as well as lean it back some. These were both personnal preferences not problems with the backrest. My advice to anyone considering ordering from Grasshopper LTD is "Why haven't you already clicked the order button?"
