Yamaha 1100 Backrest Installation Instructions
1. Remove passenger seat
2. Remove two front bolts on passenger mounting
bracket
3. Place supplied bracket under existing bracket reinstall
passenger bracket
4. Reinstall passenger seat (may be tight at first)
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Comfortable back support
As another review mentioned, I also opted for mount to be above back seat bracket. It makes for snug fit but allows back seat to sit correctly, as it was lose with bracket underneath. Super comfortable back support, everything needed was there and install was quick even with moving bracket after testing with it below
